.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...
Beach conditions at Walton county should improve throughout the day today;
however, lingering higher surf heights around 1-2 feet combined with 5
second periods are leading to increased rip current risks at Walton County
beaches today. All other area beaches are experiencing around 1 foot or less
of surf today, which should continue for the next couple of days as high
pressure remains fixed over the region.
Based on communication with area beach officials, the following flags
are flying at area beaches:

West Facing Gulf Beaches......Yellow
South Facing Gulf Beaches.....Yellow
