Showers and a few thunderstorms will continue to move through
portions of the listening area during the first half of the day
before slowly diminishing across northeast South Dakota and west
central Minnesota by late afternoon. Strong west to northwest winds
will increase from west to east across central and northeast South
Dakota during the morning hours and persist through the afternoon
and early evening. This will usher in a cooler airmass with daytime
readings expected to be held below normal for this time of year.
Warmer temperatures will return this weekend but shower and
thunderstorm chances will as well by Saturday night into Sunday.

Highs today will top out in the low to mid 60s. Lows tonight will
fall into the upper 30s to mid 40s. Highs on Saturday will reach the
low to mid 70s.
