General showers are expected into the evening hours before conditions

However, there is the possibility of thunderstorms sneaking into

expanding eastward into parts of eastern South Dakota and west
central Minnesota through the overnight hours. An isolated severe
storm is possible, but the overall threat is low.

Attention turns to Sunday. Sunday brings a greater chance for severe
thunderstorms to the region. All hazards possible with these storms,
including wind, hail and tornadoes.

Temperatures are forecast to rise above normal this weekend into
next week (highs in the 80s).
