A strong low pressure system will bring moisture to the region today
and tonight. Rainfall will range from just a few hundreds across
western South Dakota to over 2 to 3 inches for far northeast South
Dakota and western Minnesota. In addition to the rainfall, strong
winds will accompany this system. Strongest winds of 45 to 55mph are
possible for the Sisseton hills region, with gusts between 25 and
35mph for central South Dakota east into the James valley. The system
pulls out overnight, taking the wind and the rain with it.

Temperatures will struggle today, remaining in the 50s to low 60s.
Readings will dip into the 40s tonight.
