High pressure across the area will slowly exit into Minnesota by
this evening. Winds will remain light again today, with temperatures
rising into the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. Mainly dry weather
will remain, with only a 20 percent chance of light showers and
thunderstorms over south central South Dakota.

These chances for showers and thunderstorms will increase to around
30 percent and push eastward into parts of eastern South Dakota and
west central Minnesota overnight tonight through Sunday morning, as
a trough of low pressure nears from the west. Sunday afternoon and
evening will bring increasing chances for showers and storms, along
with a slight risk of severe weather, or level 2 on a scale of 5.
All severe weather hazards will be possible, including damaging
winds, large hail, and tornadoes.

Low temperatures Sunday morning will be in the mid 50s, with highs
Sunday mainly in the low 80s.
