486 WGUS81 KAKQ 262153 FLSAKQ Flood Advisory National Weather Service Wakefield VA 553 PM EDT Sun May 26 2024 VAC085-087-270000- /O.NEW.KAKQ.FA.Y.0023.240526T2153Z-240527T0000Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Hanover VA-Henrico VA- 553 PM EDT Sun May 26 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central Virginia, including the following counties, Hanover and Henrico. * WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 553 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area during the next half hour. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
