004 WGUS81 KAKQ 261756 FLSAKQ Flood Advisory National Weather Service Wakefield VA 156 PM EDT Sun May 26 2024 VAC073-262000- /O.NEW.KAKQ.FA.Y.0021.240526T1756Z-240526T2000Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Gloucester VA- 156 PM EDT Sun May 26 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Virginia, including the following county, Gloucester. * WHEN...Until 400 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 156 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area during the next 40 minutes. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
