...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CHESTERFIELD...SOUTHWESTERN
CHARLES CITY...NORTHERN PRINCE GEORGE...SOUTHEASTERN HENRICO AND
NORTHEASTERN DINWIDDIE COUNTIES...THE CITY OF RICHMOND...THE CITY OF
COLONIAL HEIGHTS...THE CITY OF HOPEWELL AND THE CITY OF PETERSBURG
THROUGH 530 PM EDT...

At 444 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Hopewell, moving southeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Hopewell, Colonial Heights, and Fort Gregg-Adams around 450 PM
  EDT.
  Jordans Point around 505 PM EDT.
  Prince George around 510 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this storm include Burgess, Wayside,
Richmond Heights, Birchett Estate, Addison, Jordan Point Country
Club, Petersburg National Battlefield, Glendale, Pocahontas State
Park, and New Bohemia.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
