...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN CHARLES CITY...
NORTHWESTERN NEW KENT...EAST CENTRAL HENRICO AND SOUTHEASTERN HANOVER
COUNTIES THROUGH 530 PM EDT...

At 457 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Bottoms Bridge, or near Highland Springs, moving east at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small trees and blow around
         unsecured objects. Wind impacting handling of high profile
         vehicles. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Roxbury, Highland Springs, Mechanicsville, Tunstall, Bottoms Bridge,
Wrights Corner, Orapax Farms, Elko, Sandston, Westwood, Richmond
International, Quinton, Fair Oaks, and New Kent Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
