...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 PM EDT
FOR THE SOUTHWESTERN CITY OF CHESAPEAKE...

At 350 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Northwest, or 8
miles north of South Mills, moving south at 10 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind damage to
         trees and powerlines.

Locations impacted include...
Chesapeake, Northwest, Hickory, and Chesapeake Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
