Look for sunny skies across the Northern Plains this afternoon.
Highs will be mainly in the 70s today which is right around
normal for early June. Lows tonight will range from the 40s north
to the 50s south, with small chances for showers and a few
thunderstorms.

Precipitation chances will increase on Sunday as a cold front
works its way west to east across the Region. Showers and
thunderstorms will be more prevalent over eastern Montana and
western North Dakota early in the day. Thunderstorms chances
increase Region wide Sunday afternoon and evening with isolated
to scattered severe storms possible over the eastern Dakotas and
western Minnesota. If you have outdoor activities planned Sunday
be sure to keep up to date with the latest forecasts and know
where to go to find shelter if severe weather threatens your
area. Daytime highs Sunday will range from the 70s north to the
80s south. Showers and thunderstorms linger over eastern portions
of the Region Sunday night as the west dries out. Hit and miss
shower and thunderstorm chances continue early next week with
temperatures remaining near normal.
