At 1107 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Needmore, or near Haleyville, moving northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Haleyville, Brushy Lake, Needmore, Moreland, Ashridge, Weiss, Posey Field Airport, Upshaw, Pebble, Delmar, Sipsey River Rec Area, Grayson, and Bankhead National Forest.
