Issued by NWS Denver/Boulder, CO
785 FNUS55 KBOU 030911 FWFBOU Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO 311 AM MDT Mon Jun 3 2024 .DISCUSSION...Today and tonight... Weak ridging is expected to bring warm and dry conditions today. High-based showers should form mid to late afternoon with a good chance for gusty outflow winds. LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Tuesday through Friday...Dry and very warm weather will prevail through at least Thursday. Breezy to windy conditions Tuesday could lead to elevated fire weather conditions where fuels are drying out, but overall spring greenup should alleviate critical Red Flag conditions. The strongest winds can be expected in the foothills and near the Wyoming border where gusts near or greater than 40 mph will be possible. Minimum humidity levels will drop into the teens in all but mountain locales each day, with only moderate humidity recovery at night. A chance of showers and storms may enter the picture by Friday or Saturday. ...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds... ...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds... ...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid... ...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone groups and may not match the actual forecast values shown in those groups...
