...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WEST CENTRAL ELBERT COUNTY
THROUGH 245 PM MDT...

At 152 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Elbert, or 24 miles north of Colorado Springs, moving northeast at 15
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Elbert, Elizabeth, Kiowa, and Ponderosa Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for sudden gusty winds. Secure loose objects and move to a
safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
