...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN HIDALGO COUNTY
THROUGH 115 AM CDT...

At 1249 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Hidalgo, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pharr, Hidalgo, Progreso, South McAllen, Rio Grande Regional
Hospital, South Pharr Elementary School, P S J A High School,
Granjero, Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge, and Hidalgo Public
Library.

This includes US Highway 281 between mile markers 786 and 812.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for
Deep South Texas.
