...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN FRANKLIN AND
SOUTHEASTERN ST. LAWRENCE COUNTIES THROUGH 430 PM EDT...

At 351 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles southwest of Horseshoe Lake, moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Tupper Lake, Oswegatchie, Piercefield, Carry Falls Reservoir,
Wawbeek, Horseshoe Lake, Cranberry Lake, Lake Ozonia, Star Lake,
Stark, Lower Oswegatchie, Aldrich, Conifer, Saranac Inn, Wanakena,
St. Regis Mountain, Gale, Newton Falls, Childwold, and Shurtleff.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
northern New York.
