...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN JEFFERSON AND
CENTRAL LEWIS COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM EDT...

At 452 PM EDT, trained weather spotters reported a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 9 miles west of Whetstone Gulf State Park, or 22 miles
southeast of Watertown, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Carthage, Lowville, West Carthage, Barnes Corners, Whetstone Gulf
State Park, Denmark, New Bremen, Watson, Martinsburg, Copenhagen,
Croghan, Castorland, Bellwood, Rector, Beaver Falls, and Sperryville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
