Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
402 AM EDT Wed May 22 2024

.DISCUSSION...High pressure remains over the area today and will
continue to shift offshore. Moisture will increase through the
end of the week, although low levels remain relatively drier
today. Winds will generally be out of the southwest which will
continue to promote increasing moisture. This will lead to
increasing chances for showers and storms late this week into the
weekend and remaining unsettled into early next week.

Fog potential for tonight: Patchy fog is possible in fog prone
locations.
