Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
447 AM EDT Fri May 31 2024

.DISCUSSION...
High pressure to our north continues to push drier air into
the area. Northeast winds today, around 10 mph, are expected
with afternoon RH`s dropping into the low-mid 20%`s. Winds
turn out of the southeast for Saturday but moisture will be
slow to return. Moisture will steadily build back into the
area starting Sunday as winds consistently remain out of
the southwest and we enter a fairly typical summer pattern
next week with afternoon shower-storm chances each day.

Fog potential for tonight: Fog not expected.
