...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of southeastern Lee,
northeastern Clarendon and central Sumter Counties through 800 PM
EDT...

At 727 PM EDT, trained weather spotters reported strong thunderstorms
along a line extending from near Sumter County Airport to near
Alcolu. Movement was northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Sumter, Elliott, Mulberry, Mayesville, Lynchburg, Oswego, East
Sumter, St. Charles, Gable, and Brogdon.

This includes Interstate 95 between mile markers 126 and 138.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
