...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Iowa River near Tama Hwy E49 affecting Tama County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation over the next 24 hours.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY THURSDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The Iowa River near Tama Hwy E49, or from Timber Creek
  near Le Grand...to Salt Creek near Belle Plaine.

* WHEN...Until early Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 12.8 feet, Water affects portions of C Ave and D Ave
  from US 30 to the south.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 12.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage early
    tomorrow afternoon to 12.3 feet Tuesday morning. It will then
    rise above flood stage Tuesday evening to 12.6 feet Wednesday
    evening. It will fall below flood stage again early Thursday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 12.5 feet.
