For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation over the next 24 hours.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE SATURDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The Raccoon River at Des Moines Fleur Dr, or from Walnut
  Creek...to the Des Moines River.

* WHEN...Until late Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 15.5 feet, Water approaches Fleur Dr and affects the
  Grays Lake trails.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 11.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early this morning to a crest of 14.7 feet just after
    midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage
    Saturday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
