...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Raccoon River at Des Moines Fleur Dr affecting Polk County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation over the next 24 hours.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Additional river flooding is possible today, though the
  stage has temporarily dropped just below flood stage

* WHERE...The Raccoon River at Des Moines Fleur Dr, or from Walnut
  Creek...to the Des Moines River.

* WHEN...Until early this morning.

* IMPACTS...At 11.3 feet, George Flagg Parkway is closed from Park
  Ave to SW 30th St.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 12:45 AM CDT Friday the stage was 11.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river has briefly fallen below flood stage,
    but may again rise above flood stage today.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
