...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of central Henderson,
northeastern Henry, Des Moines, southeastern Washington, southwestern
Muscatine, northeastern Lee, Louisa and southeastern Johnson Counties
through 300 AM CDT...

At 218 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Olds to near Middletown. Movement was northeast
at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Burlington, Mount Pleasant, Wapello, Columbus Junction, Oquawka, West
Burlington, New London, Mediapolis, Winfield, Danville, Morning Sun,
Ainsworth, Columbus City, Middletown, Crawfordsville, Olds, Mount
Union, Cotter, Amber, and Wyman.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring and may lead to localized flooding.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
