Fire Weather Planning Forecast for New Mexico and Far West Texas
National Weather Service El Paso TX/Santa Teresa NM
243 PM MDT Fri May 24 2024

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 10 PM MDT SATURDAY...

.DISCUSSION...
Red Flag Warning remains in effect for Saturday as our winds increase
to 25-35 mph with gusts to 45 mph. This will create critical to extreme
fire conditions for all the zones as humidity remains very low and
fuels continue to dry. Fortunately the remainder of the forecast period
will settle down to more typical afternoon breezes. However temperatures
will continue to climb, which will further dry out various fuels. So
expect fire conditions to remain elevated through most of next week.
