A few light showers are possible early this morning (20 percent or less) but wetting rain is unlikely. The main rain and thunderstorm chances arrive later this evening, but the best chances are much farther north with less coverage expected in west central Minnesota (including the southeast corner of Grant County where the prescribed burn is). A few severe thunderstorms may develop into west central Minnesota this evening if the system develops farther southeast, with strong wind gusts the primary threats. Very warm temperatures in the 80s are expected today, and RH values should fall to around 30 percent this afternoon, with a low chance for values to 25 percent. Surface winds initially will be from the southeast 5 to 10 mph, but should shift to the south and increase 10 to 15 mph, occasionally gusting to around 20 mph during the afternoon. .REST OF TODAY...
