...The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls SD has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Floyd River at Sheldon affecting Sioux and O`Brien Counties.

  Little Sioux River at Spencer affecting Clay County.

  Ocheyedan River near Spencer affecting Clay County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Floyd River at Sheldon.

* WHEN...From this evening to late Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, flooding affects large areas of farm land
  within 1000 feet of the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 6.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this evening to a crest around 13.5 feet around after
    midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage
    tomorrow morning.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Little Sioux River at Spencer.

* WHEN...From this evening to late Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, the right bank overflows, and minor
  flooding of the Spencer city park and some rural agricultural
  areas begins.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 9.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this evening to a crest around 10.7 feet tomorrow evening. It
    will then fall below flood stage Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.

* WHEN...From Wednesday morning to early Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, minor flooding of pasture land begins.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 5.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow morning to a crest around 8.2 feet tomorrow evening.
    It will then fall below flood stage Thursday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
