Weather Summary for Portions of the Central Plains

Tonight will be dry across the area with the possible expectation of
a few showers or a thunderstorm or two early Thursday morning across
mainly north central Kansas. Overnight lows will be in the low to
mid 50s. Thursday will be mostly sunny during the day with high
temperatures in the upper 70s to mid 80sbut late in the afternoon
to early evening thunderstorms will move into the area from the
northwest...and then move southeast across the area through the
overnight hours. Some of these storms are expected to be severe with
large hail...damaging winds...and perhaps an isolated tornado.
Friday...temperatures will be cooler with highs in the 60s and 70s.
Saturday high temperatures will be in the 70s across south central
Nebraska and into the 80s across north central Kansas...with
thunderstorms returning to the area Saturday afternoon and evening.
