NORTHEASTERN SHERMAN...SOUTHWESTERN MERRICK...HOWARD AND HALL
COUNTIES THROUGH 400 AM CDT...

At 332 AM CDT, an automated weather station reported strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Loup City to Howard
City to near Shelton. Movement was east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Wood River, Cairo, Dannebrog, Ashton, Howard City, and Boelus
  around 335 AM CDT.
  Alda and Farwell around 340 AM CDT.
  Grand Island and St. Paul around 345 AM CDT.
  Elba and St. Libory around 350 AM CDT.

Other locations in the path of these storms include Cotesfield.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 293 and 323.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 AM CDT for
central and south central Nebraska.
