In 1995, lightning struck an antenna tower in Goodland Kansas, traveled into a home and caused extensive damage to electrical equipment, sheetrock, and siding. Damage was also inflicted to televisions in a 6 block area surrounding the home. In 1999, softball sized hail fell during a severe thunderstorm 10 miles southwest of Tribune Kansas in Greeley County. Crop damage was estimated at 2 million dollars. $$
