Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

The overnight hours have seen a mix of clouds and clear skies with
a few showers popping up in Eastern Colorado and Western Kansas.
Temperatures as of one in the morning ranged from 53 in Wray,
Colorado to 62 in Oakley, Kansas. Winds have either been calm or
from the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.

OUTLOOK... For today, an interesting day is in store with multiple
chances for showers and storms through the day. Where there isn`t
showers and storms, partly cloudy skies and highs reaching the
low 80`s are forecasted. There is a low chance for storms to
become severe today with large hail as the main threat. This
evening and into tonight, storm chances will linger generally
south of Interstate 70. By midnight or a few hours after, storms
should clear the area with either mostly cloudy skies or a few
sprinkles lingering. Lows will drop into the 50`s. Tomorrow is
forecast to start with partly cloudy skies and temperatures
warming to around 80. The late afternoon and evening hours will
bring chances for storms generally west of Highway 83. Storms
could be severe.
