Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

The Central High Plains region observed mainly clear skies overnight
At 2am MDT (3am CDT) temperatures ranged from 48 degrees in Kit
Carson, Colorado to 60 degrees in McCook, Nebraska.

OUTLOOK... Sunny and warm today with high temperatures in the
upper 80s to low 90s across the area. Winds are forecast to be from
the WSW at 10-15 mph gusting 20-25 mph mainly along and east of
Highway 83. 10-15 percent chance at a rogue shower or thunderstorm
does exist this afternoon mainly along a line from Goodland to
McCook. Near normal temperatures are then forecast for Saturday
with highs in the 70s to 80s. The potential for showers and storms
then increases overnight Saturday into Sunday morning; followed
by the potential for severe thunderstorms east of Highway 25
Sunday. Daily chances for rain then continues at least into mid
week.
