FOR NORTHEASTERN CATAWBA...DAVIE...CENTRAL IREDELL AND WESTERN ROWAN
COUNTIES...

At 859 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Mocksville to 10 miles east of Newton, moving
east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
Statesville, Mocksville, China Grove, Troutman, Bermuda Run,
Claremont, Cooleemee, Cleveland, Catawba, and Harmony.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from
