...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
  counties, Brazoria, Galveston and Harris.

* WHEN...Until 1130 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 826 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor
    drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory
    area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Southeastern Pasadena, League City, Galveston Causeway, Texas
    City, southeastern Friendswood, La Porte, Alvin, Dickinson,
    La Marque, Santa Fe, Seabrook, Webster, Hitchcock, Kemah,
    Clear Lake, Nassau Bay, Taylor Lake Village, El Lago, Bayou
    Vista and Shoreacres.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
