central Illinois, southeast Illinois and west central Illinois.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Scattered thunderstorms this afternoon and evening could become
strong to severe for a few storms, bringing a threat of isolated
large hail and locally damaging wind gusts to 60 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Occasional showers and thunderstorms are expected Tuesday into
Wednesday. The severe weather threat is low for Tuesday and
Wednesday, but locally heavy rainfall will be a threat.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed from 3 to 9 pm today.

Expected storm motion is toward the northeast around 20 mph.
