Hot and dry weather will prevail through at least the mid-afternoon hours on Friday at the event site. Isolated to widely scattered showers may be possible towards sunset on Friday evening. High temperatures this afternoon will rise to around 90 degrees, with maximum heat index values climbing to the low or mid 90s during the mid to late afternoon hours. The Atlantic sea breeze will pass across the event site by the mid-afternoon hours, resulting in southerly winds of 5-10 mph shifting to easterly and increasing to around 15 mph. Winds will shift to southerly while gradually diminishing after sunset. Temperatures will continue to slowly increase from Friday through the weekend, with highs on Friday soaring to the 90-95 degree range, with maximum heat index values approaching 100 degrees during the mid-afternoon hours. The Atlantic sea breeze will likely not arrive until the late afternoon hours on Friday, with winds shifting from southwesterly around 10 mph to southeasterly around 15 mph through the early evening hours. .REST OF TODAY...
