.NOW...
Through 9 pm, an outflow boundary with waxing and waning scattered
showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue to move southwest to
west at 5 to 10 knots through the offshore Gulf waters, the Gulfside
waters, the Lower Keys, western Hawk Channel, and the western
Straits of Florida. There is also a cluster of scattered showers and
thunderstorms over the distant eastern Straits of Florida which were
drifting to the south to southeast at 5 knots or less. Mariner`s
encountering the stronger portions of this activity can expect bouts
of heavy rainfall reducing visibilities to less than 3 miles, wind
gusts of 25 to 30 knots, and occasional lightning strikes. On land,
especially for Key West, expect rainfall amounts of a few tenths to
up to a half inch of rainfall.
