014 FZUS54 KLCH 041626 CWFLCH Coastal Waters Forecast National Weather Service Lake Charles LA 1126 AM CDT Tue Jun 4 2024 Coastal waters from the Lower Atchafalaya River LA to High Island TX out 60 nautical miles including Sabine and Calcasieu Lakes and Vermilion and Cote Blanche Bays Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest one third of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average highest ten percent of the waves. GMZ400-050515- 1126 AM CDT Tue Jun 4 2024 .SYNOPSIS... Southerly flow courtesy of high pressure centered off the Carolina coast will prevail over the northern Gulf of Mexico for the remainder of the work week. Winds will also increase a bit starting this evening as low pressure moves into the southern Plains, tightening the pressure gradient, and small craft should use caution through tomorrow evening. By early in the weekend, a weak frontal boundary is forecast to drop into the region, which could shift winds around to more of an easterly direction for a brief period on Saturday. However as this boundary lifts back northward or washes out altogether, onshore flow will return to the inland and coastal waters for Saturday night.
