For the following areas...
Coastal waters from Lower Atchafalaya River to Intracoastal City LA
out 20 NM...
Waters from Lower Atchafalaya River to Intracoastal City LA from 20
to 60 NM...

At 842 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts
were located along a line extending from near Caillou Bay to near
Eugene Island 189 to near South Marsh Island 99, moving southeast at
30 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

100, Eugene Island 135, Eugene Island 113, South Marsh Island 288,
Eugene Island 107, Eugene Island 206, Eugene Island 129, Eugene

Eugene Island 142, Eugene Island 63, Eugene Island 74, Eugene Island
95, and Eugene Island 182.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
