...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1145 PM CDT...

For the following areas...
Waters from Lower Atchafalaya River to Intracoastal City LA from 20
to 60 NM...

At 1046 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Ship Shoal
248, or 52 nm southwest of Caillou Bay, moving south at 25 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots and large destructive
         hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high
         winds and hail. Small craft could capsize in suddenly
         higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Eugene Island 257, Eugene Island 258, Eugene Island 259, Eugene
Island 325, Eugene Island 275, Ship Shoal 224, Eugene Island 276,
Ship Shoal 248, Eugene Island 277, Eugene Island 296, Ship Shoal 295,
and Eugene Island 281.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, large destructive hail, high waves,
dangerous lightning, and heavy rain are possible with this storm.
