...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL LAFAYETTE AND WEST
CENTRAL ST. MARTIN PARISHES THROUGH 415 PM CDT...

At 346 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Catahoula to near Scott. Movement was
northwest at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Lafayette, Catahoula, Scott, Breaux Bridge, St. Martinville,
Broussard, and Parks.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 100 and 106.
 Interstate 49 near mile marker 1.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 PM CDT for
south central Louisiana.
