...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN CALCASIEU PARISH...
SOUTH CENTRAL NEWTON AND NORTHEASTERN ORANGE COUNTIES THROUGH 500 PM
CDT...

At 420 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Pinehurst, or near Orange, moving east at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Orange, Vidor, Bridge City, West Orange, Mauriceville, Pinehurst,
Hartburg, Forest Heights, Toomey, and Orangefield.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 10 in Texas between mile markers 880 and 865.
 Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 4.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
