The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Eastern Cameron Parish in southwestern Louisiana...
  Southwestern Beauregard Parish in southwestern Louisiana...
  Calcasieu Parish in southwestern Louisiana...

* Until 300 PM CDT.

* At 202 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Starks to 9 miles southeast of Lacassine
  National Wildlife Refuge, and are nearly stationary.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Lake Charles, Sulphur, Orange, Cameron, Westlake, Vinton, Grand
  Lake, Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge, Lake Charles Regional
  Airport, Rockefeller Wildlife Range, Starks, Grand Chenier,
  Carlyss, Lunita, Hacketts Corner, Toomey, Edgerly, Hackberry,
  Creole, and Sweet Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning
is one of nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
