FOR NORTHWESTERN IBERIA...SOUTHEASTERN LAFAYETTE AND NORTHEASTERN
VERMILION PARISHES...
At 239 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Youngsville, or
8 miles northeast of Abbeville, moving southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Two inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect damage
to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles.
Locations impacted include...
Lafayette, New Iberia, Broussard, Youngsville, Erath, Delcambre,
Maurice, Coteau, Acadiana Regional Airport, Jefferson Island, and
Milton.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Prepare immediately for large hail and deadly cloud to ground
lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from
