TRIMBLE AND NORTHWESTERN JEFFERSON COUNTIES THROUGH 800 PM EDT...
At 720 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 10 miles southwest of Madison to 6 miles north
of New Albany. Movement was southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Louisville, Jeffersonville, New Albany, Shively, Prospect, Windy
Hills, Northfield, Green Spring, Spring Valley, and Parkway Village.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
