This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
     Limited Tornado Risk.
     Limited Hail Risk...up to quarter size.
     Limited Damaging Wind Risk...up to 70 mph.
  Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

There will be several periods of thunderstorms today. The first
will be mid to late morning, with the highest coverage north and
west of Chicago. The severe threat is low with these storms, but
there could be some small hail and gusty winds. Additional
scattered thunderstorms, some of which may be severe, are likely
mid afternoon through the early evening. Damaging wind gusts are the
primary severe threat, but isolated large hail is also possible
along with a few tornadoes. The tornado threat is highest from the
Chicago metro area westward.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Saturday night...
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk mainly overnight.
Sunday...
  Elevated Thunderstorm Risk with a:
    Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
  Limited Flooding Risk.
Monday and Tuesday...
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Additional waves of thunderstorms are likely on Sunday into
Sunday evening. Severe thunderstorms will again be possible,
primarily Sunday afternoon until around sunset.

Any focused corridors of heavy rainfall from thunderstorms on
Sunday may result in localized flooding.

  Spotters may be needed this afternoon and evening.

  Moving toward the northeast at 35 to 40 mph.
