...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS
EVENING...
...GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 4 AM CDT
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, south winds to 30 kt. For
  the Gale Warning, south gales to 35 kt with a few gales over 40
  kt possible. Significant waves to 5 ft expected.

* WHERE...Illinois and Indiana nearshore from Winthrop Harbor IL
  to Michigan City IN.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 7 PM CDT this
  evening. For the Gale Warning, from 7 PM this evening to 4 AM
  CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Thunderstorms with winds gusts possible in
  excess of 50 kt are possible this evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for severe conditions.
