05/26/2024 Clinton IL NWS Storm Survey
An EF1 tornado with maximum winds of 97mph
touched down north of Carlyle and tracked
eastward significantly damaging a garage and
shed, removing portions of a roof on a home,
and breaking large branches off of trees.
The damage survey was not completed on the
east side of Carlyle Lake where there was a
report of power lines down, multiple trees
down, and at least partial remove of a
houses roof. The current track and rating is
preliminary based on inclusion of this
report.
