This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening
across the far southeastern Texas Panhandle and eastern Rolling
Plains. Storms may become severe with large hail up to tennis ball
size and damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph as the primary threats.

Elevated to critical fire weather conditions will develop west of
the I-27/US-87 corridor late this morning through the evening hours.
A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 1 pm until 9 pm today for the
far southwestern Texas Panhandle into the western South Plains.
While a Fire Danger Statement is in effect for the remainder of the
Caprock.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Elevated to critical fire weather conditions will develop across
portions of the South Plains this weekend.

Chances for thunderstorms are forecast to return to portions of the
Caprock and Rolling Plains by the middle of next week. Some storms
may be severe.
