027 WHUS41 KLWX 280632 CFWLWX Coastal Hazard Message National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC 232 AM EDT Tue May 28 2024 MDZ017-281200- /O.NEW.KLWX.CF.Y.0077.240528T0800Z-240528T1200Z/ St. Marys- 232 AM EDT Tue May 28 2024 ...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE...Shoreline in St. Marys County. * WHEN...Until 8 AM EDT this morning, especially around the time of high tide. * IMPACTS...At 3.0 feet, yards are flooded on Saint George Island, and water will begin covering the road leading to the island, especially if there is wave action. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one to one and a half feet above normal. The next high tide at Piney Point is at 6:16 AM and 7:02 PM. The next high tide at Point Lookout is at 5:28 AM and 6:14 PM. The next high tide at Coltons Point is at 6:52 AM and 7:38 PM. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.
